SRINAGAR, JULY 07: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan today chaired 246th High-Level Committee (HLC) meeting of Circular Road Project regarding the cash compensation to the affected people whose structures were came under the Circular Road Project.
The meeting took a comprehensive review of progress of acquisition on Safa-Kadal-Jamallata road, community centre at Safa Kadal, Widening of Ali Kadal-Rajouri Kadal via Sakalipora road, Community Centre Namchibal, Widening of Buchpora-Hazratbal road(phase-I), Haft Chinar-IG road, SMS road and Fateh-Kadal-Khan Kahi Moulla road.
During the meeting, cash compensation was approved in various cases in favour of affected families whose structures were come under the Circular Road Project.
The cash compensation was given to the families as per the field verification, submission of Aadhaar cards and other requisite formalities.
Div Com directed R&B engineers to demolish those structures immediately whose owners have received compensation.
He stressed upon the concerned authorities to speed up the rehabilitation process and clear the pending cases immediately so that the widening work of the city roads takes place as earliest for the benefit of commuters besides it will provide smooth traffic management in Srinagar.
District Development Commissioner Dr Syed Abid Rashid Shah, Additional District Development Commissioner Srinagar, Chief Engineer R&B, VC SDA, Joint Commissioner SMC,  Superintending Engineer R&B, Assistant Commissioner, affected persons and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.


          SRINAGAR, MAY 26: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan, today chaired the 245th High-Level Committee (HLC) meeting regarding road widening of Buchpora-Hazratbal road.
 The meeting took a comprehensive review of the progress of acquisition of land and structures needed for the widening of Buchpora-Hazratbal road.
It was said that the cash compensation will be provided against the structures which are to be removed under the road project.
 On the occasion, the Div Com interacted with the affected persons whose structures come under the ambit of the road widening. He assured them that adequate compensation will be provided to them.
 Khan reiterated that road widening project is a part of measures being taken for better traffic management in the Srinagar city which require due diligence and commitment from all those involved in its execution.
          He stressed upon the concerned authorities to speed up the acquisition process and remove all bottlenecks so that the road widening work on the Buchpora-Hazratbal road is started soon.
 Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Superintending Engineer R&B, SMC and SDA officers, Deputy Director Planning and other concerned were present in the meeting.

Chairs 109th HLC meeting of LAWDA
SRINAGAR, MAY 25: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan, today chaired the 109th High Level Committee (HLC) meeting of LAWDA regarding capping of plots and cash compensation to Dal dwellers.
The meeting was informed that plots and cash compensation will be provided to the Dal dwellers against their structures to be removed under the Dal Development and Lakes & Waterways Development programmes.
It was said the areas whose dwellers will be compensated include Dole DembKarpora, Abi Nowpora, Karpora Dole Demb, Dole DembAsthal, Sheikh Mohalla Nandpora, Khachroo Mohalla Nandpora, Kaloo Mohalla Nandpora, Latti Mohalla Nandpora, Sheikh Mohalla Tangkhan, Akhoon Mohalla Takiya Lal Shah Nandpora, Moti Mohalla Nandpora, Kooli Mohalla, Chinga Mohalla, Akhoon Mohalla Tak Nandpora, RooniMohalla, BhatporaKarpora, Baba Mohalla Karpora, Abi Nowpora, Kand Mohalla Nandpora, BataporaKarporaand and Karpora-Batpora.
The meeting was also informed that 3100 plots have been developed at Rakh-i-Arth Bemina of which 2200 plots measuring 7 marlas each have already been allotted to Dal dwellers, adding the colony has sewerage, drainage, electricity, water supply, blacktopped roads amongst other facilities therein. It was said some 750 pacca and kacha structures have been constructed there so far.
It was said the plots have been capped as per the requirements and convenience of the people shifted there from Dal areas and that these and cash compensation were given to families after proper field verifications, submission of Aadhaar cards and other requisite formalities.
Various cases regarding allotment of plots and cash compensation to Dal dwellers for their rehabilitation at Rakhi-i-Arth were also approved in the meeting.
The Div Com directed the LAWDA to immediately demolish those structures in the Dal vicinity whose owners have already received compensation. He impressed upon the concerned authorities to speed up the rehabilitation process and clear all pending cases forthwith so that the pristine glory of Dal Lake can be revived.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, VC LAWDA, Secretary LAWDA, Collector LAWDA, VC SDA, Executive Engineer UEED, Joint Commissioner SMC, Executive engineer LAWDA, Deputy Director Planning and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.

          SRINAGAR, MAY 14: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan, today chaired the 244th High Level Committee (HLC) meeting of Circular Road Project here.
          The meeting took a comprehensive review of the progress of acquisition of land at Haft Chinar IG road and rehabilitation of left-out dislocated shopkeepers of ZarabKhana at Nowhatta.
          The Div Com also interacted with the affected whose structures have come under the Circular Road Project on the occasion. He assured them that adequate compensation will be provided to them.
          Khan instructed the officers to ensure that there is no discrepancy in allotment of plots and shops and that only bonafide individuals are compensated.
