Jammu, Feb 17: A meeting of Principals of Jammu Sahodaya schools was held today at R.M. Public School, Chowadhi, Jammu to discuss the latest CBSE circulars with special focus on assessment criteria of class VI-VIII and IX-X. In this meet, Principals of Heritage School, DPS Kathua,          Bhargava Public School, Springdales School, JK Public School, Rich Harvest, Doon International School, JK Public School (Kathua), DBN Amarvilla (Jammu), Model Academy. Stephans International Public School, DPS Udhampur, SOS Herman Gmeiner School, Indian Public School (Kathua), G D Goenka Public School were present among others.
The meet commenced with welcome address by Mrs. Ravinder Kour (Principal of R.M. Public School), followed by a brief presentation on the topic “Importance of Comprehensive and Inclusive Education in the today’s society”. JS Dhami, president Jammu Sahodaya complex, presided over the meet.
The main discussion was on the ‘Latest CBSE circulars, with special focus on Assessment criteria status of classes VI-VII and IX-X, Regular access of CBSE website for the online filling of class X, Internal marks and class XII grades as well as doubt clearing session pertaining to the latest CBSE circulars.
The schools also discussed the status of Sahodaya website as well as formulated the tentative Sahodaya Activity Calendar for 2018-19. The requisition forms were also submitted for procurement of participation certificate for the same.
Mr. J S Dhami, President Sahodaya Jammu Complex addressed the august gathering before the open house session.
The meeting was concluded by the vote of thanks presented by Mr. Rajesh Rathore, PRO, JSSC.


Attends Annual Day celebrations of JK Public School Panjtirthi


JAMMU, DECEMBER 21 – Minister of State for Education, Technical Education, Culture and Tourism, Priya Sethi emphasized that imparting cultural and moral education among the students is an important aspect for their overall development.
The Minister was speaking during the Annual Day Celebrations of J K Public School Panjtirthi, here today.
Senior Politician, Yudhvir Sethi, Chairman, JK Educational Society, Raj Daluja, Director, JKES, Brig. Sukhdev Singh, Principal JKPS Kunjwani, S K Singh, Principal JKPS Pantirthi Suman Banbah also attended the function.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister expressed her approbation at the exuberant efforts of the students and exhorted to them to excel in all their endeavors. She added that it was a veritable, visual and auditory feast as the performances based on Prime Minister’s initiatives like Swacchta, Sakarshata, Save water, Beti Bachao, were performed spreading message to all the participants.
Priya said that the role of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. "Learning gives creativity, creativity leads to thinking, thinking provides knowledge, and knowledge makes us great”, she added.
The purpose of education is to make minds, not careers and knowledge is learning something new every day, the Minister maintained.
She hoped that JKES will play an important role in enhancing and sustaining the quality of education as their endeavor can bring fresh innovation in the system and can go a long way in providing the young generation a platform, expressing their talents, wisdom and vision.
Principal JKPS Panjtirthi, Suman Banbah expressed in her annual report that JKPS is a school with difference and said that education means inspiring someone's mind and just not filling their heads.  
On the occasion, teachers, parents and students were also present.
