KATRA, SEPTEMBER 25: As part of ongoing Navratra festivities, the live performance of Ramleela show was staged here last evening which attracted thousands of devotees and locals.   
The performance was made by popular Shri Sanatan Dharam Natak Samaj (SDNS), Dewan Mandir Jammu in which as many as 42 characters took part. The main scenes appeared on the stage were Sita Swayamvar, Kailash Talhati, Sita Harn, Bhart Milaap and Hanuman Ravan Samvad.
Vice Chairman, J&K Kissan Advisory Board, Daljeet Singh Chib was chief guest on the occasion while as Additional SP Katra, CEO Bishan Singh Jaral, senior leader Yudhvir Sethi were guests of honor on the occasion.
The chief guest appreciated organizers for reviving live performance of Ramleela at Katra after 25 years.

Pertinently artists of local Ramleela club Reasi would give remaining two performances of Ramleela in the festival. The two hours performance is being staged at Higher Secondary School Katra from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.


KATRA, SEPTEMBER 22: The devotional stage performance of Ram Leela recommenced on Navratra Festival at Katra last evening.
The holy show was terminated 25 years ago and restarted this year by the sole efforts of Tourism department.
The live performance of Ramleela being staged by Sainak Colony Ramleela Club Jammu on the first day of the festival coined on three scenes like Vishnu Darbaar, Rawan Vedmati and Narad Mou. The scenes were performed by the artists magnificently to spellbind the audience.
Director Tourism Smitha Sethi, SDM Katra Neelam Khajuria and other officers of tourism department were also present on the occasion. Scores of devotes and local people also enjoyed the live performance of Ramleela.

It is pertinent to mention here that artist of Deewan Mandir Jammu and local Ramleela club Reasi would also give their performances of Ramleela in the festival. The two hours performance would remain alive in Higher Secondary School Katra from 7:00 to 9.00 pm daily from 22nd to 26th September.
