JAMMU, JANUARY 15-  A very thought provoking and interactive lecture on impact of diet and stress free living on work culture was held today under the aegis of J&K State Social Welfare Board (J&K SSWB).
A balanced diet and stress free attitude creates positive work culture which is very important for e-governance, said Chairperson, J&K State Social Welfare Board DR. (Prof) Nirmal Gupta adding that to mitigate the problems of general public it is important that employees maintain their health by feeding themselves with quality diet along with stress free living. She said that for stress free living regular yoga is performed with an eye on proficiency at work.
The lecture was delivered by Dr. Meenakshi Dutt Soodan who is presently hospital administrator at Soodan Heart Special Hospital. Post graduate in diectics and food service management in addition to her MBBS degree from Govt. Medical College, Jammu.
Dr. Meenakshi Soodan, administrator at Sooden Heart Special Hospital, stressed on effective balanced diet which can reduce stress in the life of individual by brining positivity in the attitude and there by improve work culture at the working places. She dwelt on various methods which can reduce the stress in the life of employees such as health education monetary incentives, sparing little time for preparation of Indian homemade food which is the best system of food and awareness towards food full of carbohydrates, proteins and other ingredient Vitamins as basic components to improve work efficiency in the offices.
The NGOs who were the target groups had volly of questions put forth to the speaker to which Dr. Meenakshi Dutt Soodan responded very ably.

Present on the occasion were Vijay Kumar Tikoo, Mir Imran  Wahida Qadri, Jatinder Singh Jamwal, Raman Kumar, Sameer Ahmed, Choudhary Brihgt Academy NGO , J&K women welfare society NGO were also present. 
        
SRINAGAR, JULY 03: Chairperson State Social Welfare Board, Dr. Nirmal Gupta, today visited Shafaqat Rehabilitation Centre of Voluntary Medicare Society (VMS) at Bemina Srinagar.
          
Appreciating the efforts of the VMS society, Dr. Gupta highlighted role of VMS in providing a new lease of life to disabled people. She lauded the society for its efforts to empower physically challenged people across the state.

She said that persons with disabilities often face barrier at societal level. She said as such Board is committed to facilitate their involvement in building a progressive society.

Appreciating the role of VMS founder Dr. Mohd Maqbool Mir she said the team work rendered by the Shafaqat Rehabilitation Centre is commendable and efforts should be made for empowering weaker and vulnerable sections of the society.
