UDHAMPUR, JUNE 24: District administration today organized a Mock Drill at Village Omala in Udhampur to review the status of disaster preparedness in the district.
The
mock drill was conducted jointly by Civil Defense, State Disaster Relief Force
and Fire and Emergency Services.
During
the mock drill, Deputy Commissioner, Niraj Kumar reviewed the
overall preparedness of Civil Defense, SDRF and Fire and Emergency services in
dealing with any kind of natural calamity. He stressed upon the rescue team to
be prepared for any disaster especially during the rainy season.
The
rescue team exhibited various rescue operations including medical emergency
rescue, medical first responder and emergency evacuation. Besides this, modern
equipments which are used in various rescue operations were also put on
display.
Tehsildar,
Javed Iqbal Rather, Dy, SP, Civil Defence Shamsher Singh, Dy, SP HQ Kameshwar
Puri and other officers and officials were present on the occasion.
