MENDHAR, MAY 15: Amid prevailing tension on Line of Control (LoC) and continuous shelling, MLA, Javed Ahmed Rana today asked the Sub-Divisional administration in Mendhar to remain prepared to face any eventuality with promptness in case of escalation.
Rana was reviewing the preparedness of administration at a meeting of
officers in Balakote.
While addressing the meeting, the MLA asked all the officers to ensure
that all requisite arrangements are put in place. He instructed for
constitution of dedicated medical and VAS' teams to attend people and livestock
in need.
All the arrangements must be planned well in advance so that people are
evacuated and attended to in case of escalations in Balakote sector, he
instructed.
Meanwhile, Rana urged for construction of concrete bunkers to prevent
loss of previous lives.
He also reiterated his demand of a Trauma hospital in Mendhar to arrest
the disastrous consequences of frequent LoC skirmishes on shelling victims.
Besides, the lawmaker demanded Critical Care Ambulances specifically for
shelling prone areas of Poonch and Rajouri to ensure that immediate and best
possible health care is provided in case of LoC skirmishes.
