Tripura, Aug 31: The ruling CPI(M) has suspended the village chief of Kushamara Gram Panchayat and the party branch secretary for immoral activities and indulging corruption. CPI(M) sources said Rahima Bibi, Panchayat Pradhan and Shyamal Debnath, branch secretary under Kakraban R D block were suspended from the party due to their involvement in corruptions in various development projects of the village in past three years. The villagers of Kushamara had registered complaints with party against both Rahima and Shyamal alleging of looting Panchayat Development Fund for which party conducted enquiry into the allegations and found them guilty, party sources added.
