KATHUA OCTOBER 27: Additional Deputy Commissioner, Basohli, Sanjay Gupta today convened a public grievances redressal camp besides holding a meeting of officers to take stock of ongoing development works being executed in Basohli Sub Division.
During the meeting, Social Welfare Officer apprised the ADC regarding status of various pension cases associated with old age pension, widow pension, handicap pension and pension under Social Security Scheme. He informed that a total of 3019 beneficiaries are getting pension under different schemes amounting Rs 30.19 Lakh.
ADC asked the Sub Divisional Agriculture Officer to organize awareness camps for farmers regarding State and Central Government schemes on regular basis. Besides, the BVO was directed to construct a cattle farm in association with Municipal Committee to check the number of stray cattle.
BDO was directed to construct toilet complex near Atal Setu to facilitate the increasing tourist influx.
ADC informed that construction of 100 toilets within MC limit has been entrusted to an NGO under SBM.

Other issues deliberated upon in the meeting included early completion and renovation of water supply schemes, construction of Forest Guest House and PHC at Sananghat besides submission of DPR pertaining to inland waterways project from Mashka to Satwain.
