Panaji, Jan 11: Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr Harsh Vardhan and Minister of State for Science and Technology Y S Chaudhary will attend Nobel Prize Series India 2018 which will be inaugurated by Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on February 1. 
According to a statement from the Department of Information and Publicity, the event to be held at Kala Academy in the city is being organised by Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, and Department of Science and Technology, Government of Goa, in collaboration with Nobel Media Sweden.
The event will include Nobel exhibition to be flown in from Sweden and will also include Indian exhibition showcasing the exemplary scientific work done by Indian scientists. The exhibition will be open from February 1 to 28.
The event aims to bring together Nobel laureates and other experts in the field of science which will help to inculcate sense of scientific temperament and stimulate creative thinking in the student community, besides to promote science education in general.
The unique programme combines, exhibition, dialogue, round tables and interaction of Nobel laureates with students, teachers etc. The programme will benefit students, teachers, scholars in the state of Goa as they would get first hand opportunity to interact with the Nobel laureates, the statement said. 
The inauguration of Nobel exhibition will be in the presence of around 300 students and teachers from across the country besides head of IIT, Central Universities, industry heads, department heads of institutes, young scientists, Government of India Secretaries, Government of Goa Scientists, international partners and local Government of Goa and industries, the statement added. UNI
