20: Union Minister for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi will
inaugurate Santhigiri Poojita Peedom Samarpanam and half-yearly 'Kumbh Mela' at
Pothencode here on February 22.

The rituals of Poojita Peedom Samarpanam will commence from 0500 hrs on the day with special Pushpanjali and Flag hoisting. There will be floral offerings and prayers by devotees on the occasion. The Poojita Peeddom Samarpanam Meeting will commence from 0011 hrs. There will be Guru Darshan at 1300 hrs.
The half-yearly Kumbh Mela procession will commence at 1600 hrs. Thousands of devotees from India and abroad will participate in the Kumbh Mela procession. There will be cultural programmes by Santhigiri Vishwa Samskriti Kalarangan at 2130 hrs.
Several programmes are being undertaken by the Ashram in connection with Poojita Peeddom Samarpanam. Free food is being distributed as part of Patheyam Project throughout the state.
