Agartala, Mar 13: Director General of Police (DGP) of Tripura Akhil Kumar Shukla 
on Tuesday reiterated that zero tolerance to criminals has been adopted by the new 
government of the state and directed all Superintendents of Police (SP) of eights districts to expedite arrests of all the anti-social elements and law violators irrespective of political colour.
DGP told media that till now, a total number of 35 accused persons involved in various crimes were arrested from different parts state during last few days and all SPs were directed to take immediate steps to execute the orders.
He warned all the law violators in the state to ends their all illegal activities and If they do not leave those activities then state police will take stringent measures to control such illegal activities while warned police officials at all level not to work in biased manner or else, they will face dire consequences.
“A war has been declared now against crime and criminals,” he mentioned adding that 
the newly sworn Chief Minister wanted to clean up all bad names of police and to establish rule of law. UNI
