Jammu, Apr 09: To review the preparations for the celebration of “Gram Swaraj Abhiyaan” from 14th of April to 5th of May, which will involve the holding of the events like Ambedkar Jayanti, Swacch Bharat Parv, Ujjawala Panchayat, Panchayati Raj Diwas, Gram Shakti Abhiyaan, Aayushmaan Bharat Abhiyaan, Kissan Kalyan Karyashala and Aajivika evum Kaushal Vikas Mela, BJP conducted a review meeting at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar.
Meeting was addressed and chaired by BJP State President & MLA Sat Sharma along with BJP State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul.
Sat Sharma, while addressing the meeting, laid emphasis on the fact of reaching up to the heart of villages to address their issues. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi believes in the fact that the Indian is known by culture of villages. Without the true development of the villages, no Nation could advance in any field, be it food or science or technology, he said and added that BJP has formulated a complete plan for ensuring the extension of facilities up to each village to stop the continuous migration of youth from village to cities.
Ashok Kaul, while giving deliberation on the schedule of programme to be organized in the series, said that around 125 villages will identified in the series to be worked upon. It will also be taken into account to give preference to the villages having the majority population of deprived communities like SC, ST, OBC. He said that the senior BJP leaders who have been made committee members will be prompted to stay overnight in the allotted villages.
Kaul said that the schemes like Ujjawala, Jan Dhan, Sobhagaya, Grameen Aawas, Jeevan Jyoti Bima, Sawasthaya Bima, Mission Indra Dhanusha, Ujala etc. will be publicized in the programmes to create awareness among the rural folk. He further informed that the District level meetings will be organized 10th and 11th of April, on 12th of April District members will reach up to Mandal level and the programmes will be conducted from 13th  of April to 5th  of May in this regard. The monitoring meetings are scheduled at 20th of April and 5th of May, he added.
BJP State Vice-Presidents Yudhvir Sethi, Karan Singh, Bharat Bhushan, Rajni Sethi, State General Secretaries Dr. Narinder Singh, Pawan Khajuria, Harinder Gupta, State Secretaries, Rajinder Sharma, Sanjay Baru and Er. Ghulam Ali Khatana attended the meeting.
