Jammu, Apr 18: President Ram Nath Kovind on Wednesday reviewed Army Guard of Honour and lauded
the high morale of troops on his arrival here at Technical Airport.
Mr Kovind is on two day visit to the state of Jammu and
Kashmir to address the Sixth Convocation of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University
at Katra.
Mr Kovind, arrived at Jammu airport and was received by the Governor N N Vohra, Major General Sanjay Singh, General Officer Commanding, the Tiger Division and Air Commodore SK Mishra the Air Force Station Commander.
On arrival he was presented the President’s Guard of Honour by soldiers of Gorkha Rifles, commanded by Major Ranbir Chaudhary with a gracious Military Band of 14 Gorkha Training Centre playing the Martial Tunes.
The event was spectacular, impressive and conducted with military elan.
The President reviewed the Ceremonial Guard of Honour and appreciated the high morale of the troops. UNI
