55 kanals of poppy destroyed in Baramulla

       
BARAMULLA, MAY 26: According to the Deputy Excise Commissioner, Executive Kashmir, 55 kanals of poppy was destroyed in various areas of the Baramulla district today during a drive carried out by the Department.

          During the drive, headed by Excise and Taxation Officer, North Kashmir Range, poppy was destroyed in Margpora, Goosh bugh and Aglar of Tehsil Pattan of the district.          

          The Deputy Excise Commissioner said that, so far, a total of 2068 kanals of poppy have been destroyed in Kashmir valley by the Excise Department.
