MAY 16: Additional Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Avny
Lavasa, today held a meeting with the representatives of Beopar Mandal and
sought their cooperation in
spreading awareness among people about the harmful effects of polythene.
The
ADC asked the participants to generate awareness regarding the use of polythene
having thickness of more than 50 microns.
Besides, during the meeting, CEO MC Udhampur was asked to ensure that all the
shopkeepers and vendors use polythene having thickness not less than 50
microns. He was also asked to organize awareness camps in this regard.
