SRINAGAR, MAY 16: Divisional Commissioner
Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan, today convened a meeting to review the progress of
land acquisition for construction of 4-lanning of Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumri Road.
Additional Commissioner Kashmir, Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Chief Engineer
Beacon, CEO Sonamarg Development Authority, Commanding Officer GREF, Collector
Land Acquisition Ganderbal, Defence Estate Officer, Chief Engineer HIMANK and
other concerned officials were present in the meeting whereas Deputy
Commissioner Kargil participated via video
conferencing.
During
the meeting, Div Com was informed that 1859.06 Kanals of land fall under the
project.
Regarding land acquisition cases, the Div Com asked the concerned Deputy
Commissioners and concerned authorities to work in synergy to resolve all
pending issues. He further directed the revenue officers to keep liaison with
the concerned officers to ensure speedy disposal of the land acquisition cases
and clear all bottlenecks immediately within a week.
Khan
also directed the officers to remove all encroachments and shift utilities
immediately which are lying on the acquired land so that the work on this
prestigious project should be started soon.
