ALC Poonch organizes awareness camp

Poonch, May 02 – Labour Department Poonch organized an awareness camp to educate the construction and other workers about various schemes introduced by the government for their welfare.   

A team headed by Assistant Labour Commissioner Poonch Zamood Ahmed held the awareness /cum registration camp at Mandi Small Hydro-electric Project Serichowana. During camp the team registered several labourers on the spot.

Assistant Labour Commissioner also inspected the facilities available at the project /residential site and issued necessary instructions to the management.

The camp was held as a part of special week long drive launched by the department to mark World Labour Day. Tomorrow a similar type of program shall be conducted at Labour Sarai Poonch under the supervision of Addl Deputy Commissioner, Poonch.

   Labour Inspector Naser Khan and other officials were also part of the camp.
