BANDIPORA MAY 06: A day-long sensitization programme regarding disaster preparedness organized by J&K Association of Social Workers (JKASW) in collaboration with CARITAS India under Shirkat project was held at Ashtangoo Bandipora today.
Members of District Disaster Management Authority Bandipora, Officials from Revenue, SDRF, Fire and Emergency Services, Social Welfare, EDI, besides a good number of locals participated in the programme.
The programme aimed to sensitize the vulnerable communities about community based disaster preparedness as well as house hold level preparedness in order to minimize losses during any eventuality.
It was that the Shirkat project also focuses on improving the livelihood of vulnerable communities.
