Inspects
ongoing renovation works in offices, face-lifting of Civil Secretariat
SRINAGAR,
MAY 4: Chief Secretary, Mr. B. B. Vyas Thursday visited the Civil Secretariat
here to review the preparations in connection with opening of
the offices on 8th May (Monday)
in the summer capital.
Besides
Director Estates, other officers accompanied the Chief Secretary.
Chief
Secretary was informed that face-lifting and other necessary renovation works
in various blocks of the Civil Secretariat and cleanliness work is in progress
and will be completed before the opening of the offices.
Chief
Secretary inspected various blocks/offices including the office of the Chief
Minister, other Ministers, clerical halls, meeting and conference halls and
took stock of the arrangements being made.
Chief
Secretary directed the concerned officers to ensure that all works are
completed well before 8th of May and
that telephones, Computers, files and Internet facilities are put in place, so
that the offices in the Civil Secretariat start functioning smoothly right from
the first day.
Chief
Secretary stressed upon improving the aesthetic look and the surroundings of
the Civil Secretariat. He directed Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation
to have the requisite number of waste bins placed on each floor of the Civil
Secretariat building.
