SRINAGAR,
MAY 04: The Minister of State for Haj and Auqaf (Independent Charge), PHE,
I&FC and PDD, Syed Farooq Andrabi, today chaired a meeting to review the
functioning of the PHE Department, Kashmir.
The
Minister took a district-wise review of schemes operating in the Valley and
directed the officials to ensure better water supply in the Valley.
With
regard to efforts made for ensuring purity of water, the Minister was informed
that drinking water is being regularly checked across the Valley to
ensure supply of pure drinking water to the people.
The Minister directed the
officials to introduce bio-metric attendance in all the offices of the PHE
department by the end of this month and instructed them to complete different developmental
works in the given time-frame.
The
meeting was attended by Chief Engineer PHE, Chief Engineer Mechanical Division,
Superintending Engineers, Executive Engineers and other concerned officials of
the Department.
