SRINAGAR, MAY 23: Director
Agriculture Kashmir, Altaf Aijaz Andrabi, on Tuesday inaugurated
one-day training programme on Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) in fertilizers, at
Agriculture complex Lal Mandi.
The training programme was attended by manufacturers, wholesale
dealers, and retailers of the various companies.
During the programme, training was imparted on DBT in fertilizers for
retailers and master trainers on implementations and operations of ‘Point of
Sale’ (POS) machines. The programme was jointly organized by Indian
Fertiliser’s Co-operative Limited, Chambal Fertilisers and Chemical Limited and
Department of Agriculture Kashmir.
On the occasion, the Director
instructed the representatives of different companies to get their wholesalers
connected with Mobile Fertilizer Monitoring System (MFMS) portal and update the
supplies and stocks weekly.
He also directed for supply of quality fertilizers to the farmers at
their doorsteps during the Kharief season. He asked the fertilizer dealers that
supplies must be regulated and there must be no shortage or over charging from
the farmers.
