POONCH MAY 26: Deputy Commissioner. Mohammad Harun Malik
convened a meeting with the officers of concerned Departments and representatives of
various religious organizations to discuss the arrangements for holy month of Ramadaan.
Detailed discussions were held on various issues pertaining to
availability of essential commodities, water and power supply, rates of
essential commodities, cleanliness, traffic, management and Medicare etc.
PDD was directed to provide regular power supply during Iftaar, sehri and avoid unscheduled power cuts. PHE was asked to provide uninterrupted water supply besides
pressing into service water tanker in a water stressed areas.
The
department of FCS& CA was directed to ensure adequate ration supply and
monitor the rates and quality of essential items.
EO Municipality was directed to take up repair of defunct street lights and also install
waste bins to ensure proper sanitation.

Gurvinderjeet Singh, ACR Ashraf Choudhary, Executive engineers of PDD, PHE,
executive Officer Municipality Poonch, tehsildar Haveli ,AD FCS&CA besides
Officer and officials of legal metrology department were present in the
meeting.
