BUDGAM, MAY 25: Arrangements for
ensuing Ramadan were finalized in an officers meeting chaired by District
Development Commissioner Budgam, Mir Altaf Ahmad, here today.
During the meeting, the DDC directed the officers to ensure that the action
plan regarding arrangements for the holy month is implemented in letter and
spirit.
Officials of the PDD were asked to provide adequate supply of electric power
during the Ramadan and ensure uninterrupted power is provided to the people
during sehri and iftaar timings.
The PHE authorities were directed to ensure adequate supply of safe potable
drinking water in the district and deploy water tankers to the areas who are
facing shortage of water.
The District Development Commissioner directed officials of FCS&CA
Department to provide sufficient and prompt supply and distribution of ration
and LPG. Similarly the Municipal authorities were asked to carry out
cleanliness and sanitation measures in and around mosques and shrines of
Budgam.
