SRINAGAR, MAY 26: Dr. Nirmal K. Singh, Dy. Chief Minister, called on
Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan.
Dr. Singh briefed the Governor about the various initiatives taken by
the State Government to speed up the growth and development process in the State,
particularly in the power, housing and urban development sectors.
Dr. Singh also apprised the Governor about the measures adopted for
augmenting electricity supply and ensuring public health, sanitation, solid
waste management and environmental protection.
The Governor and Dr. Singh also discussed the preparedness of the
various concerned State Government departments for the forthcoming Shri
Amarnathji Yatra.
