Anuradha Gupta appointed Chairperson
JAMMU, MAY
09 – The Government today appointed the
Board of Administrators to manage the affairs of Jammu Central Cooperative Bank
Ltd under J&K Cooperative Societies Act 1989 with Additional District Development
Commissioner, Anuradha Gupta as its chairperson and SDM North Jammu, Mohammad Ilyas
Khan, Representative of Chief General Manager NABARD, District Audit Officer
Cooperative Societies Jammu Dr Ranjeet Singh Kotwal and General Manager /CEO
Jammu Central Cooperative Bank as its members.
The Board of
Administrators will manage the affairs of Jammu Central Cooperative Bank Ltd
and will assist in holding elections to its Board of Directors in a transparent
and fair manner.
The decision
has been taken with a view to safeguard the interest of the bank and make it
eligible for obtaining Reserve bank of India‘s mandatory license.
Pertinently,
the term of incumbent Board has been expired on May 02, 2017, and elections for
new Board will require constitution of Electoral College comprising various
Primary Agriculture Credit Societies (PACS) of Jammu province.
