SRINAGAR, MAY 22: Sh. Muneer Khan, Inspector General of Police, Kashmir,
called on Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here today. This was Sh. Khan’s first
meeting with the Governor after taking over charge.
Sh. Khan briefed the Governor about the Internal Security situation in
the Valley, particularly in South Kashmir.
Advising close surveillance on all fronts Governor asked Sh. Khan to
ensure that his Force plays a prompt and pro-active role in solving the
problems faced by the people at large. Governor also asked the IGP to devote
special attention to see that the educational schedules of the students are not
disrupted under any circumstances and they are immunised from influences which
have the potential of vitiating their academic careers.
