JAMMU, MAY 18: A health and medical check-up camp was today organized at
Armed Police Complex Channi by IR-4th Battalion where in over 200 police
personnel were medically examined.
Speaking on the occasion, Commandant IR-4th Battalion,
SSP Rashmi Wazir, underscored the need of regular check-ups and counseling
during follow-up examinations besides stressing upon the importance of
maintaining healthy lifestyle.
Special focus was laid on keeping a check on obesity, blood pressure,
diabetes and dietary habits.
Health talk was delivered by Dr. Rashmi Gupta, Ophthalmologist with
specific focus on taking necessary precautions for ensuring healthy eye sight
while Dr. Saira, Medical Officer talked about maintaining general health and
hygiene.
The facility to check random blood sugar was also made available for
specific patients. Free of cost medicines were also given to the ailing
patients.
Other senior officers of IRP 4th Bn. also
participated in the medical camp.
