SRINAGAR, MAY 31: Brigadier S.D Mehta, Group
Commander, NCC Group Headquarters Srinagar, and his successor, Brigadier A.S.
Kasna, Group Commander (designate) called on Governor N. N. Vohra at Raj Bhavan
and briefed the Governor about the to-date status of the NCC activities in
J&K.
Governor stressed the need for significantly increasing the enrolment
of boys and girls to enlarge NCC activities in all parts of the State,
particularly in the remote and far-flung areas of Kashmir, Jammu and Ladakh
regions. He observed that NCC training was of great value as it imbued the
youth with confidence and discipline.
