SRINAGAR, MAY 25: National Institute for Technical Trainings (NITT) today organized a function of USTTAD Scheme meant for upgrading the Skill in Traditional Arts/Crafts for Development of Minority communities here.
The Scheme also aims
to preserve rich heritage of Traditional skills by capacity building of
Traditional Arts/Craftsmen, to establish linkage of Traditional skills with the
global market. It improves employability of existing workers, School Dropouts
etc. to generate means of better livelihood for marginalized minorities.
Under the Scheme, the
stipend of Rs 1500/month is also provided to the beneficiaries.
The Impressive
function was attended by Director of NITT, management of many renowned art
& craft business houses besides hundreds of girl aspirants.
