RAJOURI, MAY 29: The district administration will start an
outreach initiative from June 7 which will take up mass contact
programmes and field camps for providing various services, redressing public
grievances and sensitising the people about various welfare schemes.
As part of this initiative, Revenue department has been asked to hold
camps as per schedule, issued by Deputy Commissioner, Dr Shahid Iqbal
Choudhary, for providing various services including Permanent Resident
Certificate, Caste Certificates, Income Certificate, Revenue Extracts
(Girdawri, Misl-e-Haqiyat, Jamabandi etc) and all other documents under PSGA
for greater public convenience and efficient service delivery.
Spanning over a month, more than a hundred camps will be held all over
the district, especially in far off pockets. These camps will be organised
under the overall supervision of Additional Deputy Commissioner, across the
district by Assistant Commissioner (Revenue), Sub-Divisional Magistrates,
Tehsildars and Naib-Tehsildars.
The Deputy Commissioner directed district officers to sensitise field
staff and ensure their presence in these camps for public grievances redressal.
He also asked them to closely monitor and ascertain the performance level of
departments in field besides furnishing actual action taken report.
Public grievances related to power and water supply, civic amenities,
education, ration supply, complaints about functioning of field offices of
different departments, local issues, land disputes and social problems will
also be redressed at these camps.
Block Development Officers have been instructed to liaise with different
departments for awareness on centrally sponsored schemes, flagship programmes,
socio-economic programmes, pension, scholarships, labour registration of
workers, legal metrology, food safety, drug control and others.
