SRINAGAR, MAY 16: Under
its Youth Promotion initiative, J&K State Sports Council (SSC) has started
a programme to provide recognition and support to sports teams from villages to
boost sports activities in the State.
According
to the Secretary Sports Council the initiative will provide chance to teams,
village level clubs, wards, mohallas to prove their mettle, besides they would
be provided infrastructural facilities available at Sports Council, membership
of registered state clubs, free sports kits and uniforms.
It was
said that the talented sportspersons would get access to class-level coaching
programs, chance to participate in Sports tournaments at State, National and
International levels.
Meanwhile,
Sports Council has set no age limit of the teams, for registration of clubs.
Moreover, the Council would also provide coaches for state level platforms.
Subsequently, the Council shall also provide assistance for face lifting of
playgrounds of villages and wards.
