RAMBAN, MAY 24: On the direction of Chairman
District Legal Services Authority, Kalpana Revo an awareness
camp on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao was organized at Higher Secondary
School Gool by Tehsil Legal Services Committee (TLSC).
Munsiff Gool Surinder Thappa, Chief Prosecuting Officer K.K Bandral, Tehsildar, BMO, BDO, DySP,
Principal Higher Secondary School Gool, President Bar Association Ramban,
Students, Anganwari workers and ASHA workers were also
present in the camp.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman TLSC, Yahaya Firdous stressed upon
the need to generate awareness on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao among the masses with
focused attention on rural areas. He further stressed upon quality
education to children particularly girls to empower them to become leaders of tomorrow thereby
proactively contributing to political, economic and social development of the
state.
The participants expressed their views on wide array of social and
behavioral attributes prevalent in the society regarding girl child.
Meanwhile a short
video film on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao was also shown in the awareness camp.
