RAJOURI, JUNE 20: Deputy Commissioner, Dr.
Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, discussed arrangements being made by different
departments for Shab-e-Qadr, Jumat-ul-Wida and Eid-ul-Fitr, at a meeting of
officers that he chaired here today.
Issues pertaining to power and water supply, market checking and
regulation of rates of essential items, sanitation, traffic management, health
facilities and other arrangements were discussed in detail in the meeting.
Municipal authorities were asked for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation
in and around Eidgahs and Mosques. Availability of ration and other essential
services were reviewed and the Deputy Commissioner passed on necessary
instructions to the concerned departments.
Asking for check on unscheduled power cuts, Dr. Shahid asked the PDD
authorities to ensure uninterrupted power supply during festivals especially
uninterrupted supply from 06pm to 06am on Shab-e-Qadr.
Besides adequate arrangements for water supply in Rajouri town, ExEn PHE
was instructed for adequate water supply both in urban and rural areas of the
district.
Special emphasis was laid by the Deputy Commissioner on market checking
to ensure quality of eatables and regulation of prices especially of meat and
vegetables.
Police will ensure security and traffic management. CMO was asked to
have 2 ambulances at standby beside provision of necessary health-care
facilities.
SSP Yugal Kumar Manhas, ADC Mumtaz Ali Chowdhary, AC (R) Paramjeet
Singh, AC (D) Qayoom Mir, Administrator Auqaf, Qayoom Dar, Executive Engineer EM&RE
and PHE, Chief Medical Officer, AD FCS&CA, CAHO, other officers and
representatives of various religious organizations also attended the meeting.
