BARAMULLA, JUNE 21: Additional
Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Nazir Ahmad Baba, today convened a meeting to
finalize arrangements for forthcoming auspicious occasions of Shab-e-Qadar,
Juma-tul-vida and Eid-ul-fitr.
The meeting was attended by ADC Sopore, SDMs, Tehsildars, District and
Sectoral officers besides representatives of Beopar Mandal, Traders Federation,
and LPG dealers.
The DDC directed the concerned to ensure adequate supply of essential
commodities including rice, atta, sugar and kerosene, besides ensure transport
arrangements, cleanliness in and around Masjids, streets and Eidgahs, ambulance
services, uninterrupted power and water supply and repairs and renovation of
roads on priority so that the people are facilitated.
He also
asked officials of Legal Metrology and Tehsildars to ensure market checking in
their respective areas and intensify a drive against erring traders found
involved in black marketing, hoarding and profiteering.
