KUPWARA, JUNE 21: Nehru Yuva
Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) today organized mega events in Kupwara district to mark
the third edition of International Yoga Day to highlight the need of
maintaining harmony between man and nature and adopting a holistic approach to
health and well-being.
More than 800 youths from NCC, NSS, Schools, Colleges, Youth Clubs and
Mahila Mandals from across the district participated in the 3rd International
Day of Yoga.
Officers of District administration, AYUSH doctors, Youth services and
Sports Officials, Yog Gurus and other dignitaries participated in the Yoga Day
celebration at Tourist Reception Center premises at Kupwara.
On the occasion, Director General NYKS Major General Dilawar Singh
announced an employment scheme for the youth of Kashmir under the title ‘Yoga for
Empowerment & Employment of Kashmiri Youth.’
Many Yoga programmes were conducted throughout the State at the
Village, Block and District level by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan.
