REASI, JUNE 07: The district administration Reasi has decided to
enforce diversion to regulate traffic to Shiv Khori Cave Shrine ahead of repair
of the road, including its blacktopping.
In this regard, District Development Commissioner Ravinder Kumar
convened a meeting at
Pouni and took several decisions to regulate traffic towards Shiv Khori Shrine
during blacktopping of Kanda-Ransoo road.
After threadbare discussion, the DDC instructed the police
administration to initiate necessary diversion of traffic during blacktopping
of the road so that tourists visiting the holy shrine of Shiv Khori do not face
any inconvenience.
The DDC also directed for removing kiosks and rahries in the Pouni
bazaar so that ample space is created for tourists buses. In this regard he
asked Tehsildar Pouni and SHO to do needful.
It is pertinent to mention here that alternate route for tourists
and other vehicles for Ransoo during blacktopping would be Taryath Teot-Ransoo
road. The DDC also passed instructions to the executive engineers for ensuring
proper maintenance and improvement of alternate route.
