BUDGAM, JUNE 12: The District Development Commissioner Budgam today inaugurated Intensified Diarrhea Control (IDC) Fortnight being observed from June 12 to 24 to augment intensification of efforts towards Zero childhood deaths due to Diarrhea.
Among others, CMO Budgam, Medical Superintendent DH Budgam, ICDS authorities and officials from Health, PHE, Education and Municipal Commissions were present on the occasion.
The DDC urged the officers to put in their best to ensure that the campaign becomes a success. He asked the concerned to implement the devised action plan in letter and spirit. He also appealed public to make the most of the endeavor.
Later, the DDC inspected the infrastructure and other facilities of District Hospital Budgam. He was apprised of the functioning of the hospital and need for its further expansion and upgradation. The DDC said that he will take up the issue with the concerned quarters for its fulfillment at the earliest.
The DDC also stressed on sanitation and cleanliness in and around the hospital premises.
