DDC Kupwara reviews Jumatul-Vida, Shab-e- Qadar, Eid arrangements

KUPWARA, JUNE 19: In order to make all the basic facilities available to public at their door steps during the ensuing Jumatul Vida, Shab-e-Qadir and Eid-ul-Fitr, the District Development Commissioner Kupwara today convened a joint meeting of officers and engineers of different wings.

          The District Development Commissioner impressed upon the authorities to intensify the market checking. He asked PDD and PHE to provide scheduled and hassle free power and other services to the consumers, besides supplying portable drinking water supply through tankers wherever necessary.

          The Assistant Director Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs informed the meeting that the department has made available 50722 qtls of rice,1115 qtls of atta, 3940 qtls of sugar to their consumers, along with 180 qtls of additional one kg of sugar.

          The DDC also directed the officers of concerned Municipal committees to intensify cleanliness and sanitation drive across the State especially at the places of religious gatherings at Kupwara, Handwara, Langate, Kularingam, Drugmulla.
