GANDERBAL, JUNE 20: Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal today reviewed the
arrangements for Shabi-Qadr, Juma-tul-vida and Eid-ul-fitr in a district
officers meeting.
ADC exhorted upon the concerned for maintaining cleanliness and
hygienic conditions at places of main congregation like Eid-Gah ground
Duderhuma, Jamia Masjid Beehama and Towheed Chowk Ganderbal.
He asked the concerned to keep available additional tankers of potable
water, deploy ambulances equipped with team of doctors, besides making essential
medicines available at these places.
The ADC said additional security arrangements shall be made at these
places to ensure smooth and peaceful celebration on these occasions.
The meeting was further informed that additional one kg sugar is
provided to each ration card holder. Besides 35000 liters of kerosene oil and
12 lakh of LPG cylinders are being provided to consumers.
The ADC was informed that the market checking squad has been pressed in
service in different areas of the district to curb the menace of profiteering
and hoarding.
It was also informed that as many as 1.25 lakh broiler chickens have
been kept available in the district. The meeting was informed that department
of Animal husbandry will provide chickens through mobile vans on fair price
rates.
The meeting was told that similar arrangements shall be reviewed in
each Tehsil by respective Tehsildars.
Additional S.P, SDM Kangan, ACR Hqr. District officers, Tehsildars of
the district, representatives of Auqaf Organization and of Trade Unions
participated in the meeting.
