DDC Poonch reviews progress of development activities at Mendhar

Takes stock of healthcare services, functioning of offices

POONCH, JUNE 10- District Development Commissioner Poonch   Tariq Ahmad Zargar today took stock of developmental activities being carried out in subdivision Mendhar here at a meeting of district and sectoral officers.

The meeting was attended by senior civil and police officers, including SDM Mendhar, Tehsildar,   BDOs, AEEs, NTs and other officials.

The meeting discussed status of ongoing developmental schemes/ works and the issues regarding improvement of water supply and power scenario.

The district development commissioner directed all the concerned officers and officials to complete the works in time bound manner to enable the people to get the benefits at the earliest.

He directed the executive engineer of PDD to regulate power supply and ensure early repair and replacement of damaged transformers.

Executive engineer of PHE was asked to provide adequate water supply and take necessary steps to revive the water supply schemes in water stressed areas.

Taking strong notice of absenteeism in government offices and schools, the DDC direct the SDM to constitute a committee under concerned Tehsildars to keep a check on unauthorized absence of officials.

The team of officers inspected the pace of ongoing works on mini secretariat building. The DC   directed the concerned executing agencies to expedite the work to ensure early completion.

He also visited sub district hospital Mendhar and took stock of healthcare facilities there. The DC issued   instructions to bring in improvement in functioning of the hospital.
