DDC reviews EID arrangements at Kishtwar

KISHTWAR, JUNE 20: District Development Commissioner, Ghulam Nabi Balwan, today convened a meeting of all the district officers to review arrangements for upcoming festival of Eid.

SSP Sandeep Wazir, CPO Yasir Balwan, ACR Mohd Sayeed, ACD Garbhi Rashied, representatives from Army, CRPF, district officers besides Imam Jami Masjid and Administrator Auqaf islamia attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the DDC discussed in detail the arrangements being put in place by the administration for smooth conduct of the religious festival.

SSP was asked to ensure proper security management in the town especially around Eidgahs while the Army (RR) was asked to arrange the tents at Eidgah (Chowhan ground) to facilitate theEid prayers.

 The DDC asked the Executive Officer Municipal to ensure proper sanitation in the town and at Eidgah besides installation of street lights wherever required.

          PHE department was asked to ensure adequate supply of water in the town with few points at Eidgah besides Health department would ensure an ambulance on the spot with a team of medicos for emergencies.

Later, the DDC directed municipality, Revenue, legal metrology department to conduct joint market inspection under the supervision of ACD to check the rates and quality of foods items.
