DIC organizes quiz competition at Shanoge

REASI, JUNE 20: District Information Centre organised “Quiz Competition” in Government Middle School Shanog here today.

In the competition, a total of 14 students, 7 each in team A and B, participated.

Finally, the team ‘B’ comprising students Afreen Kouser, Parveen Akhtar, Biddu Kumari, Sonika Kumari, Nazia Kouser, Azmat Koser and Mudassar Ahmed won the competition by 13 points.

On the occasion, Balwant Singh Head Master of the host school was the chief guest who enlightened the students on the importance of such competitions to broaden their general knowledge.

The chief guest admired the efforts of the Information Department in developing the confidence of students through such competitions besides giving them platform to assess their mental ability in rural areas.

Meanwhile, a cultural programme by local artists was also organized on the occasion.

Later, a debate on the topic “Women Empowerment” was organized in the institution in which seven students took part and expressed their views besides were awarded certificates.
