DDC Shopian assumes charge

          SHOPIAN, JUNE 13: Mr. Mohammad Aijaz today assumed the charge as District Development Commissioner Shopian.

          After assuming the charge he interacted with the district officers in an introductory meeting and urged them to work with full dedication for the welfare and betterment of the people of the district.

         He met deputations from different parts of the district. The DDC gave a patient hearing and assured them that their genuine issues would be redressed at an earliest. He also held interaction with senior citizens and assured that transparent, efficient and good governance will be provided in the district. 

           Later, the DDC visited the Mega Fruit Mandi at Aglar Shopian along with concerned officers and took stock of ongoing work. He impressed upon the officers to expedite the work of leveling, macadamization of Fruit Mandi and construction of flood protection bund and the sheds so that it could me made operational within stipulated time.

          The DDC also paid a surprise visit at District Hospital Shopian and inspected various wards of the hospital and took stock of the medical facilities being provided to the patients. He also enquired from the patients about the healthcare provided in the hospital.
