SHOPIAN, JUNE 19: The District Development Commissioner Shopian
today chaired a meeting of Revenue officers to take a detailed review of functioning
of the Revenue Department in the district.
The
meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Ahsan Mir, Assistant
Commissioner Revenue, besides Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars of the district.
On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner
stressed on the officers to speedup anti-encroachment drives across the
district so that the state land is retrieved from encroachers. He also pressed
for timely completion of the ongoing Jamabandhi and Girdawaris in the district.
Laying special emphasis on implementation of
Public Service Guarantee Act and Right to Information Act in letter and spirit,
the DDC directed the concerned officers to maintain a proper record of
applications received and disposed thereof.
