SRINAGAR, JUNE 09: Divisional
Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan today convened a high-level with
officers of concerned Departments meeting to review the progress of
modernization of land records in Kashmir division under Digital India Land
Records Modernization programme.
Additional Commissioner Kashmir, Additional Deputy Commissioner
Srinagar, Tehsildars and other concerned officials were also present in the
meeting.
The meeting was informed that revenue department is doing system design
documents, Scanning, indexing of revenue records, digitization of current
Cadastral Maps & printing, data entry of updated Jamabandi and RoR
(concurrent records).
It was given out that Survey & Resurvey for updated record
verification and preparation, development of Web Base GIS enable Cadastral
information system is also being done, besides training and hand holding of
field staff (CIS & data maintenance) for complete digitization Government
has outsourced the job to the Ramtech Company.
Div Com directed that tehsidhars will be nodal officer for verification,
quality and authentication of land records of their tehsil. He directed
tehsidhars to take weekly review meetings with Ramtech Company to checking out
inventories for authentication.

asked revenue officials to work with close coordination with Ramtech Company so
that the digitization process will be completed in a time bound manner.
