RAJOURI,
JUNE 24: District Magistrate, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary today reassured that
high level crackdown on drug peddlers will continue and further effective
measures to eradicate the menace will be initiated. He has sought greater
public cooperation against drug peddling network to make Rajouri drug-free.
Establishment
of a drug de-addiction centre at Rajouri for rehabilitation of drug addicts and
mass mobilization of students across the district against drug abuse are
underway.
Strict vigil
by Police under the direct supervision of SSP, Yugal Kumar Manhas has been
intensified and a drive is launched to register cases under NDPS Act in various
parts of the district post recovery of banned drugs.
