SRINAGAR, JUNE 19: A team of officers of Food Safety
headed by Assistant Commissioner Food Safety inspected various areas of
Srinagar district today.
During the inspection, on spot tests of milk and milk products were
conducted by virtue of mobile testing laboratory. On the basis of results of
samples ten quintals of milk were destroyed on spot. The milk suppliers and
vendors were warned not to supply substandard milk to consumers.
Meanwhile the adjudicating officer Srinagar imposed a fine of Rs. 60000
on six food business operators for selling and processing food articles in
unsanitary condition.
