SAMBA, JUNE 15: District administration today held a meeting with representatives of all political parties and media persons for the upcoming special drive to enroll left out voters.
During the drive special focus would be laid on first time electors falling in the age group of 18-21 years.
Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Waseem Raja informed that the aim of the was to seek cooperation during the SVEEP campaign beginning from July 01, 2017 for updating the electoral rolls by carrying out respective addition, deletion, correction and transposition.
The ACR maintained that people who have attained the age of 18 years and are permanent residents of J&K can apply to the concerned Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) and Booth Level Officers (BLOs) for registrations.
Sub Divisional Magistrates, Tehsildars, officers from various departments, representatives of political parties and media persons from district Samba were present on the occasion.
