SRINAGAR, JUNE 08: In connection with forthcoming
special Assembly Session, the Speaker Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta,
today visited the Assembly Complex to take stock of the arrangements.
The Speaker was accompanied by Deputy Speaker Nazir Gurezi,
Secretary J&K Legislative Assembly and Director Estates.
Kavinder inspected various sections of Assembly Complex
including Assembly Hall, Lobby, Meeting halls, other VIP Chambers besides other
arrangements put in place for upcoming session.
The Speaker was informed that all necessary arrangements have
been put in place and adequate security staff has been deployed within the
premises to facilitate smooth entry of the legislators and media-persons.
Besides, provisions have also been made to setup additional
mobile X-Ray screening security system inside the complex for secondary
screening of small bags, brief cases and other paraphernalia to ensure
fool-proof arrangements for safety and security.
The Speaker was informed that installation of the hotline
telephone facility in the assembly lobby will be ensured soon in coordination
with the concerned Departments.
The Speaker also issued necessary instructions for repairs and
renovation and other related civil and electrical works to avoid any kind of
inconvenience during the forthcoming session.
