SRINAGAR, JUNE 30: According to the Chief Electoral
Officer, Jammu and Kashmir, the Election Commission of India has ordered
special drive to enroll the left out electors in the Photo
Electoral Rolls of all the Parliamentary/Assembly Constituencies of the State from July 1 to July
3l, 2017.
The Final Photo Electoral Rolls, 2017 are available at District
Headquarters/ERO offices/Tehsil Offices/Offices of the Srinagar and Jammu
Municipal Corporations/Booth Level Officers (BLOs) at Polling Station level and
on the website of the Chief Electoral Officer, J&K (http://ceojk.nic.in.) along with all the related information.
Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (Migrants) in Delhi and Jammu
shall receive the Form-6 from the left-out eligible Migrant
Kashmiri Pandits living in their jurisdiction from July 1.
All individuals who are 18 years of age or above as on 01-01-2017 can
get their names enrolled in the electoral rolls by filling Form No 6, along
with two colour photographs for getting Electors Photo Identity Card (EPIC).
It should be noted that registration as a voter at two places is an
offence under the J&K Representation of Peoples Act, 1957. All
stakeholders, particularly eligible young electors of 18-21 age group, are
requested to come forward and get their names registered in the electoral
process for a stronger democracy.
